This is my first post to the new blog address. . .thingy. I have some odd revisions. I want to make. My one friend says he does (or at least did at one time) get a little into philosophy, but not into politics. I don't blame him. I haven't thought systematically or seriously about politics in awhile.

Is politics the love of my life that I'm afriad to commit to, or is it a doomed fling that I'm better off walking away from. I think I may have been unconsciously trying to be a monk for politics; in a way I kind of was, to an extent (although I never denied my desires totally). Since 2005 I've been trying to distance myself from the monastery. I don't know if that's wrong.
